BigBasket Reduces Staff by 50%
During an interaction with news agency PTI, BigBasket official Tanuja Tiwari said, “We want to appoint 10,000 people for our warehouses and delivery till the last place. This appointment will be in all 26 cities where we are present.” Tiwari said that there is a shortage of 50 per cent employees in the company’s warehouses and delivery team.
Flipkart gave confidence to employees
Meanwhile, e-commerce company Flipkart has assured its employees that it will not cut their wages despite the Kovid-19 epidemic.
The company said that its business has been affected by this epidemic but it will cater to the people it has offered jobs. According to Flipkart Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Kalyan Krishnamurthy, the company is committed to employees, vendors and vendor partners.
