The railways have cancelled 85 trains as a precaution due to the danger of spreading Coronavirus and due to the very low number of passengers. Central Railway has cancelled 23, South Central Railway has 29, South Eastern Railway has cancelled nine and Northern Railway has cancelled five trains. Apart from this, five trains have been cancelled by East Coast and four by North Western Railway. At the same time, Western Railway has cancelled 35 routes of 10 trains. The cancelled trains also include some popular long-distance trains.
Platform ticket price soared
As a precautionary measure, Western Railway and Central Railway have increased the platform ticket prices to prevent a large number of people from coming on the platform. The price of platform ticket has been increased from Rs 10 to Rs 50.
The danger bell has rung in Noida adjacent to Delhi. The sensation has spread after Corona received two positive cases. Corona’s confirmed cases have been found in two highrise societies in Sector 100 and Sector 78 of Noida. Both had travelled to France.
According to Dr Anurag Bhargava, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Gautam Buddha Nagar, coronavirus has been confirmed in the investigation report of both the persons. Both have been sent to the isolation ward along with their family members. However, the CMO has asked people to be vigilant rather than afraid.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has asked to follow the central government’s advisory 100 per cent on the corona. Simultaneously, an appeal has been made to the people of the state to avoid going to the crowded area. All the tourist places of the state will be closed until 31 March.
