Indian Railways is currently working developing one of the design phenomena that will soon attach one of the most distant portions of the nation in the union region of Jammu and Kashmir with the region.
The national transporter is making the world’s steepest railway bridge over river Chenab that will combine the Kashmir Valley with the rest of India.
The bridge is being built on the Katra-Banihal railway line at village Kauri in the Reasi district the bridge will be 359 meters above the Chenab river bed and will also be 30 meters greater than the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris, France.
Important Sides of the Bridge
The bridge will be 1.3-kilometre-long in length.
Konkan Railway is completing the Chenab rail bridge project. Around 1,400 men 500 of whom are locals are working in the day to complete the construction. The bridge creates the crucial link in the 111-km stretch between Katra and Banihal which is part of the Udhampur- Srinagar-Baramulla section of the Kashmir Railway project.
