Flights are Commencing Shortly

From November 8, the flight will start from Darbhanga in Bihar to Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. Budget airline SpiceJet gave this information in a statement today. Booking has started for these flights and the one-way fare will start from Rs 3,799 on all routes. 

The work of Darbhanga Airport is in the final stages. Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri had recently reviewed the construction works there. During that time, Puri said that the movement of the aircraft at Darbhanga Airport will start before Chhath Puja.

SpiceJet will operate a daily flight on the Delhi-Darbhanga, Bangalore-Darbhanga and Mumbai-Darbhanga routes. Boeing 737-800 aircraft will be used in these flights. SpiceJet will be the first and only airline to operate flights in these sectors.

Flights timetable

Flight from Mumbai will take off at 9.40 am and reach Darbhanga at 12.10 pm. The flight from Darbhanga will take off at 12.40 pm and will reach Mumbai at 3.10 pm. SpiceJet flight from Bangalore will leave at quarter-nine in the morning and reach Darbhanga at 11.15 am. It will leave Darbhanga at 4.25 pm and reach Bengaluru at 6.55 pm. From this Delhi, it will leave at 2.10 pm and reach Darbhanga at 3.55 pm. It will leave Darbhanga at 11.45 am and reach Delhi at noon.


  1. Tourists travelling to Uttarakhand will now have to book a stay for at least two days. Earlier, tourists coming to Uttarakhand were required to book at least seven days.
  2. According to the new guidelines, tourists visiting the state will have to register on the Dehradun Smart City Limited website before travelling.
  3. The guidelines said, “Tourists will have to bring together the RT-PCR / TRUMPET / CBNET and antigen test (negative report) of 96 hours before coming to the Uttarakhand border and upload it on the website.”
  4. According to the guidelines, ‘If a tourist is coming without a coronavirus test report, then they have to do antigen test at their own expense at the border check post, airport, railway stations or any ICMR authorised COVID testing lab in Uttarakhand. The option will exist.

Hotels together with private lab operators can arrange Covid-19 testing in their hotels. It says, “It will be the responsibility of the hotel management to ensure that they have got a Kovid test before allowing tourists to check in.”

If a tourist is found Covid-19 positive, then the hotel management will have to inform the district administration immediately. The district administration has also been instructed to properly investigate the reports given by the tourists. The state government has relaxed the rules regarding home quarantine as well. Those without symptoms who are going out of the state for five days or less will be exempt from quarantine upon returning. But if they are out more than five days, then on returning they will have to be home quarantined for 10 days.
