Byju’s has laid off another 1,000-1,200 employees, as the world’s most-valued ed-tech organization seeks to bring down costs amid slower revenue boost and a worsening funding winter.
The company is laying off people from the engineering, sales, logistics, marketing, and communications groups, at least three people familiar with the matter told Moneycontrol on February 2.

The country’s sugar production rose 3.42 percent to 193.5 lakh tonnes in the first four months of the ongoing marketing year ending September, on a rise in output in key producing states, industry body ISMA said on Thursday.
Sugar production stood at 187.1 lakh tonnes during the October-January period of the previous marketing year.
The sugar marketing year runs from October to September. India is a major sugar-producing country in the world.
