PM on his 69th birthday with a jammed program at his birthplace state Gujarat spoke a huge audience at Kevadiya, place to the giant sculpture of Sardar Patel or the “Statue of Unity” on the river Narmada.
Where PM also added the Hyderabad Liberation Day, also observed on September 17 each year, was the result of Sardar Patel’s vision. It signifies the day in 1948 when the former Hyderabad state was attached to the Indian Union.
Addressing of the Statue of Unity, PM Modi said he was delighted to see the growing number of visitants to the complex he launched last year.
The 133-year-old Statue of Liberty receives around 10,000 visitors per day, about 8,500 people visit the 11-month-old Statue of Unity daily,” he stated.
The Sardar Sarovar project is providing to the requirements of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Rajasthan and has benefited people in these four states, PM Modi spoke.
