Making films, web series and serials on the Indian Army is going to be difficult now. The Defense Ministry says that before telecasting the film, web series and serial on the Indian Army or any issue related to it, the producer must take the NOC from the Ministry of Defense. Many people from the Ministry of Defense had complained that people show the uniforms of army personnel and soldiers in a derogatory manner in the film. Due to this, the morale of army personnel falls.
After receiving such a complaint, the defence minister wrote to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology in this matter, saying “several films showing disrespectful military officers and military uniforms in a derogatory manner Huh.” In this letter sent on 27 July, it was said that some production houses are tarnishing the image of the army through some content.
Producers will have to get a certificate. Because of this, the producers will have to get a No Objection Certificate from the Ministry of Defense before telecast of films, web series and serials made on the Army,” the letter said, adding that the defence ministry should also prevent all such incidents. Is going on, which spoils the image of the security forces and hurts their feelings.
