It’s an Acrimonious Upset for India

Team India’s unwanted trophy-less streak at the ICC events continues as they fell to make the finals of the T20 World Cup on Thursday after mourning a crushing 10-wicket loss to England in the second semi-final of the tournament at the Adelaide Oval. Indian attack fell to find a breakthrough in their shield of 169 as England openers, Jos Buttler and Alex Hales, stitched a record 170-run rack, encasing up the chase with four overs to limit.

Rohit Sharma on India’s loss

“Pretty disappointed how it turned up today. We batted well at the backend to get that score. We were not upto the mark with the ball, we couldn’t turn up today. It’s all about handling the pressure in knockout games. All these guys have played enough to understand that. These guys have played under pressure in IPL games, it’s all about keeping calm. We were nervy to start with, but you got to give credit to their openers, they played really well,” Rohit Sharma spoke after the game.
