Amazon India on Monday stated that it has begun working out its electric vehicle delivery line in the nation, training to have 10,000 such wheels on the roads by 2025.
The move appears as part of the company’s global Climate Pledge, as stated in September last year.
The 10,000 EVs will include both 4-wheeled vehicles as well as 3-wheeled rickshaws. These EVs will begins this year in Delhi NCR, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Pune, Nagpur, and Coimbatore.
We don’t have specs for the rickshaw, but Amazon announces it is “operating with several Indian OEMs to build a fleet of vehicles that guarantee sustainable and safe performances of customer orders.
