The wait for the Corona vaccine (Covid-19 Vaccine) is over. The government has approved two vacancies in Corona – Oxford University and Covishield of AstraZeneca and Covaxin of Bharat Biotech for emergency use. Who will be given the vaccine first?
- Corona vaccine will be given to 1 crore health workers of the country first. It includes employees of both government and private hospitals. Health workers are also divided into different categories – Front Line, ICDS, Nurses, Supervisors, Medical Officers, Paramedical Staff, Sports Staff and Students.

How to get listed for vaccine
- For the vaccine, you can self-register on the Cowin app, for which they have to download this app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
- 12 photo identity documents – such as Voter ID, Aadhar Card, Driving License, Passport, and Pension Document will be required for registration.
- After online registration, the beneficiary will receive an SMS on the registered mobile number, giving the date, time and place of vaccination.
Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) has made a big announcement about the Corona vaccine in the country. DCGI has given final approval for the emergency use of Serum Institute’s Vaccine Covishield and Bharat Biotech’s Vaccine Covaxin.
