Cognizant has moved its university letting and is analysing hiring more technical grads in India. The Nasdaq-listed firm aims to hire over 20,000 students from seminary faculties this time.
“With more and more university students becoming digitally ready, we have chosen on a 30% improvement in our hiring of design and science grads for 2020,” Brian Humphries, chief executive officer (CEO), Cognizant recounted the Livemint.
The IT services firm has also jacked-up annual college salary packages for engineering graduates by 18% to Rs 4, 00,000.
The approval time for suggestions we have made in about 100 premier building academia is more than 80%, reflecting increased self-esteem in Cognizant.
This is much higher than in recent times,” Humphries continued. Cognizant’s plans to expand its India-based workers come even as it published to oust 10,000-12,000 employees in the September quarter to cut expenses.
