US President Donald Trump will visit India on 24-25 February on a two-day visit. The White House announced this on Tuesday. This will be Trump’s first visit to India after becoming the President of the US. She will be accompanied by American First Lady Melania Trump. Many important strategic partnerships between the two countries can be stamped during this visit. Recently there was a phone conversation between US President Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Let me tell you that India invited Trump as the chief guest on the Republic Day Parade last year but the US President could not come due to the busyness.
White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham told that Trump’s wife Melania Trump will also accompany him to India. He will travel to New Delhi and Ahmedabad during this two-day visit on February 24 and 25, which is Modi’s home town. It also holds an important place in the life of Mahatma Gandhi and in the Indian independence movement. Former US President Barack Obama has also visited India in 2010 and 2015.
Grisham said, “In a telephonic conversation at the end of the week, Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi agreed that the visit will further strengthen the Indo-US strategic partnership and reveal the strong and lasting relationship between the American-Indian people.”
