Yes Bank matter: CBI in development, seizure at 7 places of Rana Kapoor in Mumbai.

Raids are being carried in Mumbai by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) at 7 locations connected with Yes Bank Founder Rana Kapoor and others. According to references, the raids were given out at the bases of Rana Kapoor’s Assumptions, DHFL, RKW Developers and Doit Urban Ventures Private Limited. The DHFL office in Bandra in Mumbai was also raided.

On March 7, the CBI registered an FIR against Yes Bank’s then CEO Rana Kapoor, Doit Urban Ventures (a company linked to Rana Kapoor), DHFL, Kapil Wadhawan (DHFL promoter) and others. Cases have been registered under sections 120 (B) (Criminal conspiracy), 420 (cheating) and sections 7, 12 and 13 of the Prevention of Corruption Act. The Economic Offences Wing (1) of the CBI lodged an FIR in New Delhi.

According to the CBI’s FIR, “Rana Kapoor, along with Kapil Wadhawan and others, hatched a criminal conspiracy to Provide financial support to DHFL from Yes Bank Ltd. and in Return, unfair benefits to themselves and their family embers Through their companies can be transported.

Between April and June 2018, Yes Bank invested Rs 3700 crore in DHFL as short-term debentures. Along with this, Kapil Wadhawan paid 600 crore rupees to Rana Kapoor and his family members on the pretext of debt. DHFL showed this loan To Doit Ventures Private Limited (Rana Kapoor Group Company). ”In the financial crisis case of Yes Bank, the Enforcement Directorate is conducting raids at many places. Political ruckus has also started on a disclosure related to this Case. The ED has an eye on a painting purchased by Yes ank Co-founder Rana Kapoor, which is being valued at Rs 2 crore. 

The Enforcement Directorate has now started an investigation In this matter. It is being claimed that Rana Kapoor bought this painting from Priyanka Gandhi Vadra for two crore rupees. In this case, the agencies are now questioning Rana Kapoor.
