Zomato delivery businesspeople in Mumbai and Bengaluru went on a mass walkout on Monday to oppose against the restaurant aggregator’s decision to cut incentives which gives less money per delivery.
The officials claim that the new incentive arrangement would hurt their profits. Zomato which earlier used to fund Rs 40 per delivery to its businesspeople would now pay Rs 30 for each delivery individually.
The restaurant aggregator had distributed a message concerning the updated pay construction last Friday, to be appropriate from Monday. Acquiring non-cooperation from the officials, Zomato has already notified restaurants about a driver paddle this week. The organisation has taken this settlement to rationalise prices on the back of strong opposition from opponents Swiggy and UberEats.
